What did God say to you

Introduction:

Do you believe that God speaks to you? Whether you are a believer or not, the truth is that God's word has the power to penetrate your heart and mind and provide guidance and direction for your life. Just as a laser beam is precise and powerful, God's word is able to cut through confusion, doubt, and darkness and bring clarity, truth, and light into our lives. In this article, we'll explore how God's word can guide and strengthen us through life's challenges and why it's important to remember what He has spoken to us.

We are all a model, a make, a type, or a design that God created, and we are capable of hearing his voice. We are made in God's image and designed to have a personal relationship with him. This means that we can hear his voice through his word, the Bible, through prayer, through the Holy Spirit, and even through other people or circumstances in our lives.

God's desire to speak to us is not limited to a specific group of people, but he desires to have a personal relationship with each and every one of us. So whether we are believers or non-believers, God is speaking to us, guiding us towards the path that he has designed for us. We should be open and willing to listen to his voice, knowing that he has our best interests at heart.

Isaiah 55:10 says, "For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater."

This verse uses the imagery of rain and snow that fall from the sky to water the earth, allowing plants to grow and produce food. In the same way, God's word is like rain that comes down from heaven and nourishes our souls, allowing us to grow and produce good fruit in our lives.

Verse 11 then goes on to explain that God's word is not just like any ordinary rain, but it is purposeful and accomplishes what God intends it to do. When God speaks through his word, we can be sure that it is not meaningless or empty, but it has a specific intention and purpose for our lives.

This verse reminds us that God's word is powerful and effective. We can trust that when we read and listen to his word, we are being guided and nourished in the right direction. We should take comfort in knowing that God speaks to us through his word, and it has the power to accomplish what he intends.

He speaks to all of us because he knows us

Job 12:10 says, "In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind." This verse is a powerful reminder that God is the giver and sustainer of life. It emphasizes the sovereignty of God over all living things and how he holds our very existence in his hands.

Through this verse, we are reminded that God is intimately involved in our lives. He not only created us but also sustains us with every breath we take. We can trust that God knows what is best for us and that he has a plan and purpose for our lives.

When God speaks to us through his word, it is not just for our own benefit, but it is also for the benefit of all mankind. We are all created in God's image and designed to reflect his character in the world. As we listen to God's voice and allow him to guide us, we can be a blessing to others and make a positive impact on the world around us.

Psalm 139:2-6 says, "You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it."

This passage highlights the intimate knowledge that God has of us. He knows our thoughts, our words, and our actions even before we do. It is a comforting reminder that we are never alone and that God is always with us. The imagery of being hemmed in, behind and before, shows that God is always surrounding us and guiding us on our path.

This concept is similar to the Johari Window model in that it emphasizes the importance of self-awareness and understanding. The Johari Window model encourages individuals to understand themselves better by exploring what is known and unknown about themselves. In the same way, the Psalmist recognizes that God knows us better than we know ourselves, and encourages us to trust in God's knowledge and guidance in our lives. By recognizing the areas where we need guidance and seeking God's help, we can continue to grow in our relationship with him and in our understanding of ourselves.

The Johari Window model: with personal examples and exercises

The Johari window model is a psychological tool that helps individuals understand their relationships with others and themselves. It is based on the idea that there are four quadrants of information: the open self, blind self, hidden self, and unknown self.

When we apply this model to our relationship with God, we can see that God knows everything about us, including our blind spots, our hidden thoughts and desires, and even our unknown potential. Psalm 139:4 says, "Even before a word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether." This shows that God is intimately familiar with every aspect of our being, even those that we may not be aware of ourselves.

By recognizing that God knows us better than we know ourselves, we can become more open and transparent with him, allowing him to reveal the parts of ourselves that we may be hiding or unaware of. We can trust in his guidance and direction, knowing that he has our best interests at heart and desires for us to reach our full potential.

In summary, the Johari window model helps us understand that God knows us completely and desires for us to be open and transparent with him. As we seek to deepen our relationship with him, we can trust in his guidance and direction, knowing that he has a perfect plan for our lives.

Jeremiah 23:29 says, "Is not my word like fire, declares the Lord, and like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces?" This verse emphasizes the power and impact of God's word. No matter what challenges or obstacles we face in life, we can trust in the power of God's word to guide us through and overcome them.

His word is like fire, burning away the things that hold us back and refining us into something new.

It is like a hammer that can break down the hardest of obstacles and barriers in our lives.

We should approach the Bible with reverence and allow its truths to penetrate our hearts and minds, trusting in the transformative power of God's word.

It is interesting to compare God's word to a laser beam being powerful, precise, and can cut through even the thickest materials, the word of God is powerful, precise, and can penetrate even the deepest parts of our hearts and minds. It has the ability to reveal the truth about ourselves and our situation, and to transform us from the inside out.

In Hebrews 4:12, it says, "For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart." Just like a laser beam, the word of God can cut through the clutter and confusion of our lives and bring clarity and direction. It is a powerful tool that we can use to navigate the challenges and complexities of life.

John 1:1-4 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men." These verses speak to the divinity of Jesus, who is referred to as "the Word" in this passage. It highlights the fact that all things were created through him and that he is the source of life and light for all people.

When we come to Jesus and receive him as our Lord and Savior, we are given the gift of eternal life and are filled with his light. His word has the power to transform us from the inside out, to shine a light on areas of darkness in our lives, and to give us the strength and wisdom to overcome any obstacles we may face. The power of the word of God is not to be underestimated, and it has the ability to bring about significant change in our lives if we are willing to receive it and allow it to work in us.

In John 5:6, where Jesus sees a man lying beside the pool of Bethesda and asks him, "Do you want to be healed?" When the man responds with a yes, he is healed instantly.

So, Jesus asked the man a life-changing question, "Do you want to be alive?" When we respond to this call, our lives will never be the same.

If there is darkness in our work, the Word of God will bring clarity and enlightenment.

And if there is darkness in our personal lives, the Word of God is the light we need to guide us out of it.

In this world, there are despised and insignificant things like dynamite, but when properly connected, it can have the power to blow up rocks. Similarly, the Word of God may seem small or insignificant, but when we connect to it, it has the power to change our lives in unimaginable ways.

In Conclusion: Throughout the Bible, we see that God desires to speak to us and reveal His plan for our lives. He speaks to us through His Word, the Holy Spirit, and even through other people. When we respond to His call and open ourselves up to His guidance, He can transform our lives in ways we never thought possible.

We can trust in the power of His Word to overcome any obstacle and guide us towards His purpose for our lives. So let us be open and willing to listen to what God is saying to us, and let us have faith in His love and wisdom to lead us towards a life of purpose and fulfillment.
